LEGISLATIVE ACTION TEAM

Oversees all aspects of Indivisible Huron Valley and ensures continued focus on our mission. This team convenes and leads monthly steering committee and general membership meetings and arranges speakers and activities. They facilitate interactions internally by assisting in coordination between other steering committee teams. They are also responsible for external coordination with partner groups that share our values.

Keeps current with on-going issues at the national, state, and local levels and provides opportunities to advocate for our core values when proposed legislation is in the process of being developed. This team organizes direct actions and coordinates involvement in outside sponsored events that support our values and assists in developing language for messaging to help progress issues.

MEMBERSHIP TEAM
Builds and maintains the membership list as our community of committed and engaged members grows. This team welcomes new members and provides outreach to build membership. They coordinate social events intended to build community in our group, including coffee gatherings, happy hours, book club or outings after direct actions.

OPERATIONS TEAM
Works internally and externally to advance Indivisible Huron Valley's mission, values, legislative initiatives, and resources. Helps improve member collaboration and mobilization. This team facilitates communication with the group through bi-monthly newsletters and special email communications when needed. The team also coordinates media releases, social media, and web presence.
